Practice Educational Closures

Once a month (with the exception of August and December) Mill Stream Surgery will close on the 4th Thursday of each month between 11.15 am and 12.45 pm to allow for essential staff training and development. This protected time for training allows all our staff to be released for essential sessions such as basic life support, clinical updates, development of new services and mandatory training. There will occasionally be dates and times in addition to the regular 4th Thursday session.  

During this time urgent medical care is still provided by the practice. If you call the surgery whilst we are closed for training you will receive a recorded message giving you the telephone number to call.  

We apologise for the inconvenience this causes for our patients but we hope that you will understand that this is an efficient way of our staff receiving necessary training.
